Lo "shot clock" finalmente sdoganato nel tennis - The shot clock finally rolled out in tennis

Era tanto tempo che lo si chiedeva a gran voce, qualche esperimento era stato fatto negli anni passati durante gli US Open, il grande torneo certamente più "coraggioso" da questo punto di vista.  E alla fine è stato proprio lo Slam americano a provocare questa "mini-rivoluzione" anche nei circuiti professionistici.

I tornei estivi sul cemento nordamericano adotteranno un sistema di cronometraggio in campo per regolamentare le pause di gioco. Questo il mio articolo su Ubitennis.com (in italiano)

It's been a long time coming, everyone wanted it, and it finally came. The "shot clock" is part of pro tennis for this summer, and may become part of it permanently, if the ATP and the WTA will vote to extend this summer experiment to the entire tour for 2019.

After much internal struggle resulting from the deep political ramifications of the nomination, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte confirmed the names of the two men that will be at the helm of the company. Fabio Maria Lazzerini, former Chief Business Officer of the old Alitalia, will assume the role of CEO, while the new chairman will be Francesco Caio, who is also the current chairman of Italian oilfield services company SAIPEM.
